The Magic of Correct Breathing
This workshop is a MUST for anyone who wants to improve their mental as well as physical and emotional health through correct breathing.
Yoga knowledge or experience is not required
The knowledge and application of correct breathing offers the greatest benefits in all yoga disciplines, and in daily life. I have
"Without pranayama I would not be the enthusiastic and positive person I am today."
The profoundly positive effect that yogic breathing techniques have had in my own life, have led me to inquire and study deeply into this matter. I owe my inner balance to the Sudarshan Kriya process I practice almost daily since 2003.
The yoga of breathing or 'pranayama' is the fourth limb in the yogic eight-limb path. The red thread throughout the last 20 odd years of my life has been BREATHING. Specific breathing techniques provide a specific desired effect. I have intensely studied the classic ancinet pranayama techniques, as well as the modern, more scientific breathing process developed by the modern 'pneumonauts' such as Wim Hof, Patrick McKeown, Max Strom, Dan Brule.
All modern breathwork originates from the Yogic arts of breathing. The big difference is that nowadays we have instruments and technology to measure our breath and its effects on our physiology and physical body.
What can you expect?
*In the basic workshop you will learn about the physiology of breathing and thus learn to (recognize) your own unconscious breathing patterns.
*You will discover and practice different yoga breathing techniques as well as modern breathwork. All breathing practices this day are kept simple so that you can easily apply them in the comfort of your own home!
You will take notes and also receive them to look back over and over again on what you have learned and practiced.
*In the end we will integrate all practices learnt into a breathing program.
One thing is certain: After a morning of pranayama you will feel in top shape!
After this workshop you will be invited to join a monthly breath club, and will be eligible to participate in the 'advanced pranayama' workshop.
